About this role
This is a permanent Shift Manager (Food) role based in Inverkeithing with a salary of £40,000 to £42,000 per annum. Working dayshift/backshift, you will manage the shift to ensure all products are produced to specification and that targets and deadlines are met. You will lead and deliver Continuous Improvement initiatives, identify skills gaps and deliver training to build a competent production team, and promote and monitor adherence to Quality standards within the team. Previous experience in a management role within manufacturing is essential.
Job Description
We have an exciting new opportunity for an experienced Shift Manager to work with our growing food manufacturing client based in Fife. This position has come about due to growth within the facility & the main duties will be to manage the shift ensuring that all products are produced to the specifications and that target and deadlines are met. This is based on a dayshift/backshift.
The Candidate:
- Previous experience in a management role within manufacturing is essential
- Experience of delivering on KPI's
- Assist in site strategy projects
- Background in lean manufacturing/continuous improvement initiatives
The role:
- Lead and deliver on Continuous Improvement initiatives
- To deliver a competent production team through the identification of skills gaps and the delivery of training.
- To lead continuous improvement activities within the factory to improve processes and workplace organisation.
- To promote and monitor within the team the adherence to Quality standards
