This contract role in Reigate sits with a well respected £250m-turnover M&E contractor, delivering a notable £21m M&E healthcare refurbishment and decarbonisation project in Surrey. Reporting to a project director, you will initially shadow the existing project manager before acting as mechanical lead to close out the remaining eight months of the scheme to PC. Responsibilities include leading team meetings to engage and improve performance, reporting to clients and directors, liaising with Design & Coordination on drawings and cost or programme impacts, delegating within the project team, managing procurement, and advocating best-practice health and safety.
Job Description
MK-Search are currently working with a well respected -250m-turnover M&E contractor with a strong presence across sectors who are looking to engage with a mechanical project manager to deliver a notable -21m M&E healthcare-refurb and decarbonisation project in Surrey. Reporting to a project director, you will iniitially shadow an existing project manager, before they move and you are left to act as mechanical lead to close out the remaining 8 months of the scheme to PC.-
Duties:
- Lead team meetings to engage, motivate, and improve performance.
- Report aspects of the project to clients, Directors, and any other relevant stakeholder.
- Liaise with Design & Coordination to ensure the delivery of design/working drawings capture any additional cost, programme delay, or external influence that may affect production. Delegate activities within the project team, while building strong working relationships.
- Management of the procurement process.
- Be an advocate for best-practice health and safety.
Sign off to pay an attractive day rate with an very busy order book of projects-across the business and a potential chance to move onto a new scheme for a long term contract extension after the initial 8 months.-
