About this role
This is a contract Senior / Lead Structural Engineer role based in London, offered for 18 months outside IR35 within the oil and gas industry. The position involves performing detailed structural analyses for FPSO hulls and turret mooring systems using ANSYS and rule-based calculations, alongside creating 3D finite element models for complex marine structures and evaluating dynamic loads such as wind, wave and current forces. You will ensure designs comply with offshore codes and standards including DNV, ABS, ISO and API, and prepare documentation, calculations and reports for client review and certification. Collaboration with naval architects, mechanical engineers and installation leads is essential.
