About this role
This is a temporary Saw Operator role in Loughborough, paying £12.71 to £12.85 per hour plus overtime rates after 40 hours. Working hours are Monday to Thursday 7:45 to 16:30 and Friday 7:45 to 15:15, with overtime available by discussion. You will operate and set up woodworking machinery, including table saws, mitre saws and bandsaws, cutting plastic and wood, specifically producing components for retail merchandising displays. Previous experience with woodworking machinery is required, along with practical Health & Safety knowledge and standard operating procedures. A keen eye for detail is needed to identify components out of specification.

As a Saw Machinist you will be working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, specifically involved in producing components for retail merchandising displays.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operating and setting up woodworking machinery
- Operating table saws, mitre saws, bandsaws

Requirements and Skills:
- Previous experience working with woodworking machinery
- Posses practical Health & Safety knowledge an stadard operating procedures
- A keen eye for detail and ability to quickly identify any components out of specification
- Competent in Maths and fluent in speaking and reading English
- Have a positive, can-do attitude
- Willingness to continuously learn, keep up to date with new procedures and desire to share skills and knowledge.
