About this role
This is a temporary Qualified Primary Teaching Assistant role in Smethwick, B66, offering £92.56 to £100 per day on a full-time or part-time basis. You will support pupils' educational development and manage and support the classroom alongside the designated teacher, while creating a positive and engaging atmosphere. Duties include providing tailored assistance for SEND pupils, monitoring students and reporting to the designated teacher, and de-escalating behavioural conflicts and recognising good behaviour in accordance with school policies. Applicants must hold an enhanced DBS on the update service and a relevant qualification, such as Level 2, Level 3 or an undergraduate degree in Education or Childcare.

We are currently looking for a dedicated and qualified Teaching Assistant to work for a number of our schools based in Smethwick and surrounding areas. The chosen candidates will have the opportunity to cover day to day supply, short-term bookings and long-term roles.
As a qualified Teaching Assistant your main responsibilities will consist of:
- Not only supporting pupils educational development but also managing and supporting the classroom alongside the designated teacher
- Creating a positive and engaging atmosphere in the classroom
- Providing tailored assistance for SEND pupils
- Monitoring students and reporting to designated teacher when needed
- De-escalating behavioural conflicts and recognising good behaviour in accordance with the schools policies
Teaching Assistant Requirements:
- Enhanced DBS (must be on the update service)
- Qualified (e.g. Level 2, Level 3 or Undergradtuate degree in Education/Childcare)
- Willingness to complete relevant training continually when needed
