About this role
This permanent Press Operator role in Warwick offers a salary of £28,000 to £33,000 per annum plus an excellent package, working days on a four-day week with overtime paid for Friday and Saturday working. You will operate high-speed Bruderer and Soenen progression and perforating presses, set up and operate power presses and de-coilers, and monitor production to ensure quality, accuracy and output targets are met. Duties include first-off inspections and dimensional checks, using precision measuring equipment such as micrometres and vernier gauges, reading engineering drawings, completing production reports, routine machinery checks and preventative maintenance, and handling steel coils using overhead cranes and forklift trucks.

Are you an experienced Press Operator-with a background in manufacturing?- Have you operated power presses and worked with high-speed production machinery?- We're looking for a skilled and proactive Press-Operator-to join our team.
This is a hands-on role operating high-speed Bruderer and Soenen progression and perforating presses, ensuring production runs efficiently, safely and to the highest quality standards
Duties
- Operating high-speed progression and perforating presses.
- Setting up and operating power presses and de-coilers.
- Monitoring production to ensure quality, accuracy and output targets are achieved.
- Carrying out first-off inspections and dimensional checks.
- Using precision measuring equipment, including micrometres and vernier gauges.
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Completing production reports and maintaining accurate records.
- Carrying out routine machinery checks and preventative maintenance.
- Handling steel coils using overhead cranes and forklift trucks.
- Maintaining tooling and spare parts stock.
- Supporting continuous improvement, 5S and Kaizen activities.
- Minimising downtime, waste and production inefficiencies.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or press shop environment.
- Experience operating power presses or high-speed production machinery.
- Good understanding of production processes and quality standards.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving.
- Experience with Bruderer or Soenen presses would be advantageous but not essential
- Overhead crane and forklift licences/experience.
- Knowledge of SMED and production set-up reduction techniques.
- Experience reading engineering drawing
