About this role
This is a contract Multi Skilled Operative role based in London, working a mobile patch from London Euston through Hertfordshire and further north at times. You will review and plan your weekly job allocation through the client's online portal, travel between stations to carry out reactive maintenance and repairs, and complete general multi-skilled work including carpentry, painting and small building works. You will record completed works on the portal with photos and work safely in line with rail industry requirements. Pay is £200 per day, CIS, with a minimum of five days per week.
Job Description
TSSI Recruitment is looking for an experienced Multi-Skilled Operative to carry out reactive maintenance at rail stations for our client, a rail construction contractor. You will work a mobile patch running from London Euston up through Hertfordshire, and further north at times.
Jobs are allocated weekly through the client's online portal. You will review your jobs, plan your days and attend each station to complete the work, recording it on the portal with photos.

Location - Mobile, Euston to Hertfordshire and further north at times
Pay - -200 per day, CIS
Hours - Minimum 5 days per week, with overtime available up to 7 days
Overtime rate - To be confirmed
Contract - Ongoing

Key responsibilities
- Review and plan your weekly job allocation on the client's portal
- Travel between stations on the patch to carry out reactive maintenance and repairs
- Carry out general multi-skilled work, including carpentry, painting, general small building works and repairs
- Complete online job forms and take photos of completed works as evidence
- Work safely and in line with rail industry requirements at all times
Requirements
Essential
- Valid PTS (Personal Track Safety)
- Valid CSCS card
- Full UK manual driving licence, maximum 6 points
- Proven multi-skilled or handyman experience, including carpentry, painting, general small building works and repairs
- Confident using a smartphone or tablet to complete online forms and photograph completed work
- Able to plan and manage your own workload
