About this role
This permanent Multi Skilled Engineer role in Brumby involves diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical faults to minimise production downtime, with all maintenance activities completed safely and in line with company Health & Safety procedures. You will support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability, efficiency and production performance, assist with machinery installations, upgrades and improvement projects, and conduct root cause analysis on equipment failures to implement permanent corrective actions. Accurate maintenance records must be completed using the site's maintenance management system, and compliance with food safety, hygiene and quality standards is required at all times. The role includes participation in the shift rota, including working Bank Holidays within the food manufacturing operation.

Key Multi-Skilled Engineer Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across production and site equipment.
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults to minimise production downtime.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are completed safely and in accordance with company Health & Safety procedures.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability, efficiency, and production performance.
- Assist with machinery installations, upgrades, and improvement projects as required.
- Conduct root cause analysis on equipment failures and implement permanent corrective actions.
- Complete maintenance records accurately using the site's maintenance management system.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and quality standards at all times.
- Participate in the shift rota, including working Bank Holidays as required within the food manufacturing operation.
Multi-Skilled Engineer Requirements:
Essential:
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding abilities.
- Experience in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years' engineering experience within the food manufacturing or FMCG.
- Strong understanding of preventative and reactive maintenance techniques.
- Good project management skills with a detailed knowledge of Health & Safety legislation.
Desired:
- Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship.
- HNC or equivalent qualification in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or Building Services.
