About this role
RTL Group, in partnership with our client, is seeking a Junior Engineer for a contract role in Leicester on industrial and earthworks projects. Responsibilities include carrying out site surveying and setting out, surveying and checking earthworks layers and levels, marking out and recording testing points, and assisting with compaction and material testing. You will check works against drawings and specifications and maintain survey records, QA documentation and as-built information, supporting the site management and engineering teams. A Civil Engineering qualification or relevant experience is required, with basic surveying and setting-out knowledge and an understanding of earthworks and construction levels. The rate is £240–£280/day.

- Carry out site surveying and setting out.
- Survey and check earthworks layers and levels.
- Mark out and record testing points.
- Assist with compaction and material testing.

- Support the site management and engineering teams.
Requirements:
- Civil Engineering qualification or relevant experience.
- Basic surveying and setting-out knowledge.
- Understanding of earthworks and construction levels.
- GPS, levels and total station experience advantageous.
- Full UK driving licence preferred.
