About this role
This permanent HGV 2 Driver role in Yeovil involves delivering to customers including hotels, hospitals and other commercial sites, collecting used linen and returning it to the depot as required. You will load and unload cages, complete vehicle checks before and after each shift, and ensure all delivery paperwork and relevant documentation are completed accurately. Maintaining high standards of vehicle cleanliness and customer service is essential, along with following road safety regulations, company procedures and health and safety requirements. You will communicate effectively with the transport team and customers regarding deliveries or delays. A valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence, Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card are required.

Job : Temp to Perm
42 hours per week paid
Start immediately
Pay: -17.22 + Holiday -19.30 per hour
Salary - -37K per Annum + up to -3K in bonuses
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate an HGV Class 2 vehicle to complete scheduled delivery and collection routes.
- Deliver to customers, including hotels, hospitals and other commercial sites.
- Collect used linen and return it to the depot as required.
- Load and unload cages.
- Complete vehicle checks before and after each shift.
- Ensure all delivery paperwork and relevant documentation are completed accurately.

Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
- A good understanding of drivers' hours and road safety regulations.
- Reliable, punctual and professional approach to work.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Physically capable of handling delivery and collection duties where required.
