This contract role is for a Health and Safety Advisor in Birkenhead, paying £21.51 per hour plus time and a half or double overtime. Joining the HSEQ department of a world leader in their field, you will oversee and manage permit to work systems and conduct regular health and safety inspections and audits. You will also implement and monitor health and safety policies and procedures and ensure compliance with relevant health and safety legislation. The position requires a NEBOSH National General Certificate and a full UK driving licence, with shipyard or similar industrial experience highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage permit to work systems.
- Conduct regular health and safety inspections and audits.
- Implement and monitor health and safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety legislation.
- Provide guidance and support on all health and safety matters to employees and contractors.
Qualifications and Experience:
- NEBOSH National General Certificate.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Previous experience in a shipyard or similar industrial environment is highly advantageous.
