Our client, a leading civil engineering, infrastructure and structures contractor, requires a Freelance Commercial Manager in Hampshire on a contract basis. The role involves managing the delivery of concrete and civil engineering works on self-delivery projects within the water sector, on a long-term basis. You will provide NEC contract administration across the full project lifecycle and manage and build commercial delivery teams. Candidates must be degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar, with Tier 1 or 2 contractor experience and self-delivery experience essential, plus FRC, structures and civil engineering experience within the water industry.

Our client is a leading civil engineering, infrastructure and structures contractor.
They currently have an immediate requirement for a Freelance Commercial Manager to manage the delivery of concrete and civil engineering works, on self-delivery projects within the water sector.
This is a long-term opportunity for a Freelance Commercial Manager with civil engineering, concrete and structures experience, working on either water, environmental or flood alleviation projects.
Freelance Commercial Manager requirements:
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar qualification and relevant experience.
- Tier 1 or 2 contractor experience, with self-delivery experience essential.
- FRC, structures and civil engineering experience within the water industry.
- Extensive full project lifecycle NEC contract administration and delivery experience.
- Proven experience managing and building commercial delivery teams.
- Excellent Stake Holder management skills upstream and downstream, with proven influencing skills.
- Demonstrable experience identifying and maximising project and financial opportunities.
- Strong commercial governance, programme & cost planning, cost forecasting & reporting, Risk, opportunity and margin protection experience.
- As this is a long-term opportunity, they will expect previous long-term contracting or employment time in service.
