About this role
This is a six-month contract for an Electrical Project Engineer with an established engineering company delivering a large-scale project in the London area, based in Hounslow. You will manage electrical works on site and support the day-to-day delivery of the project, coordinating with site engineers, subcontractors and other project personnel. Responsibilities also include ordering and coordinating materials, reviewing electrical designs and communicating relevant information to engineers on site, checking drawings, specifications and technical information, and producing and maintaining project documentation. The rate is £400 to £450 per day outside IR35, depending on experience, with weekly payments.

I am currently working with an established engineering company who are delivering a large-scale project in the London area. They are looking for an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join the project team on a 6-month contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Engineer with strong project experience who is confident working on site and taking responsibility for the day-to-day coordination and delivery of electrical works.
The Role:
As an Electrical Project Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
- Managing electrical works on site and supporting the day-to-day delivery of the project
- Coordinating with site engineers, subcontractors and other project personnel
- Ordering and coordinating materials required for the project
- Reviewing electrical designs and ensuring relevant information is communicated effectively to engineers on site
- Checking drawings, specifications and technical information
- Producing and maintaining project documentation
- Supporting the project team with the planning and coordination of electrical works
- Ensuring works are carried out efficiently and in line with project requirements

The client is looking for an experienced Electrical Project Engineer / Electrical Engineer with a strong background in project delivery and site-based engineering.
You should be comfortable taking ownership of your responsibilities, coordinating with engineers and other site personnel, and working independently to ensure the project progresses smoothly.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong electrical engineering experience
- Previous experience working in an Electrical Project Engineer or similar project-based position
- Good site management and coordination experience
- Experience reviewing electrical designs and technical drawings
- Experience ordering materials and coordinating resources
- Strong documentation and organisational skills
- The ability to communicate effectively with engineers, subcontractors and project teams
- A proactive approach with the ability to take ownership of tasks
