About this role
This is a temporary Cover Supervisor role in Basildon, paying £105 to £145 per day. You will cover a variety of pre-set lessons for key stage 3 and 4 pupils, with no planning or marking required. Responsibilities include managing classroom behaviour, following the school’s policies, promoting its ethos and values, and creating a safe and inclusive learning environment. You will also establish positive relationships with pupils in the lessons being covered. Prior experience working in a school setting is preferred, along with strong communication and interpersonal skills. No formal degree is required, although this is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:
Working as a cover supervisor, you will be required (but not limited) to:
- Covering a variety of pre-set lessons to key stage 3 and 4 pupils (you are not required to plan or mark)
- Working as a cover supervisor, you will be responsible for managing classroom behaviour
- Following the school's policies, promoting the school's ethos and values
- Creating a safe and inclusive learning environment
- Establish positive relationships with the pupils in lessons being covered
Key Skills/Qualifications Required
- No formal degree is required to work as a cover supervisor (although this is preferred)
- Prior experience working in a school setting is preferred
- Advanced safeguarding completed (we offer free online training)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
