About this role
This is a contract Class 1 Day Driver role based in Appleby Magna, advertised by Driver Resource acting as a recruitment agency. Working with the client on an ongoing basis, you will carry out Class 1 night route driving across Monday to Friday shifts, with start times to be confirmed. Applicants must hold a valid HGV C+E Drivers Licence, have no more than six points on their licence and be at least 21 years old for insurance purposes. The position offers long-term opportunities with the potential for a permanent role.
Job Description
We currently have an opportunity for a Class 1 night route driver to work with our Client on an ongoing basis.
Shifts; Monday - Friday
Start times; 06:00/07:00 (Approx 9-10 hours per shift)
Payrates - Holiday pay paid separately
06:00 - 20:00 £17.60
20:00-06:00 £20.83
The role includes:
- Manual work involving cages and loose items.
- Using a tail lift and scanner for proof of delivery (POD)
- Following a set route and adhering closely to "just-in-time" drops.
- Completing 1-3 deliveries per shift.
- Start time will be between 06;00/07:00, depending on the route.
- A good understanding of English is required as paperwork will be involved.
This position is based in Mercia and offers long-term opportunities with the potential for a permanent role.
