Blue Arrow is recruiting Catering Assistants for food service environments across Melton Mowbray and surrounding areas. This temporary role offers £12.71 per hour, with immediate starts and shift patterns including day, evening and night shifts. You will support kitchen and catering teams with food preparation and basic cooking tasks, serve customers in dining areas, wash up, maintain kitchen cleanliness, clear tables and replenish stock. You will follow food hygiene and health and safety procedures and support chefs and kitchen staff as required. Previous catering, hospitality or kitchen experience is desirable but not essential; reliability and punctuality are essential.

The Role
As a Catering Assistant, you will support kitchen and catering teams with the smooth running of food service operations.
Duties may include:
- Assisting with food preparation and basic cooking tasks
- Serving customers in dining areas
- Washing up and maintaining kitchen cleanliness
- Clearing tables and replenishing stock
- Following food hygiene and health & safety procedures
- Supporting chefs and kitchen staff as required
Requirements
- Previous catering, hospitality or kitchen experience is desirable but not essential
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Reliability and punctuality are essential
- Safety shoes are required
- Own transport may be advantageous for some locations and shift times
